He practices in the corporate sphere and his clients include major shipping and pharmaceutical companies, international banks, domestic banks and financial institutions, and other high-profile NRIs and individuals.
A commerce graduate of N. M. College, after his LL.B. from Govt. Law College, he pursued his LL.M. (International & Comparative Law) from Georgetown in May 1995 and worked with Slaughter And May, London and Jones Day, Cleveland and Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai for a couple of years before setting up his office here in Mumbai.
Oft-quoted in the Times of India on seminal legal issues and a panelist on several Super PrimeTime shows on major National Channels, he is also on the Board of several Fortune 500 Indian companies. He writes regularly for Business India having been published earlier on the Edit Page of the Hindustan Times and the Economic Times.
A Solicitor (England and Wales), he begins his day reading the law and devours as many diverse non-fiction and fiction books that he can including several magazines. An avid puzzler, he enjoys solving the Economic Times cryptic crossword with his daily cup of tea besides cracking Sudokus. A professional chess player during his University days (with his highest ELO of 2126), he plays online now matching wits with the world’s best international masters and grandmasters as a daily brain food!
